Subjects we welcome

Pitch an explanation of a racing format, a close reading of a course feature, a clear account of a term, an object history or an essay on a racing custom. We are interested in evergreen subjects with a distinct angle, not betting picks, race previews or unsupported claims.

What to include

Tell us the working title, the central question, why a general reader might care and how you would answer it. Mention the kinds of sources or examples you expect to use, and note any relevant perspective or connection that readers should know about. A short, specific proposal is more useful than a complete draft sent without context.
